Through the years, Maycos Italiana has studied, developed and improved the reaction conditions that lead to condensation, in particular acylation, between two different natural components, in order to obtain new compounds that not only possess the active effects of the starting components, but new and improved characteristics. The experience and knowledge acquired have made possible for Maycos Italiana to condense a large number of natural molecules, such as fatty acids and proteins, in order to obtain innovative raw ingredients with synergistic effects not only in the surfactant, but also solubilizing, emulsifying and also in the pharmaceutical field, as active ingredients.
ECO-SURFACTANTS: DELICATE NATURE ON THE SKIN
Natural surfactants are amphiphilic molecules, it means they have a hydrophilic component consisting of protein or amino acid elements and a lipophilic component consisting of a mono or polycarboxylic fatty acid: these compounds are called lipo-amino acids or lipo-proteins. Anionic lipo-amino acids are the most widely used class of surfactants in personal care applications due to their cleaning and foaming properties.
