Description
WOOL PEPTIDE is an hydrolyzed protein of animal origin obtained by enzymatic hydrolysis from wool proteins, suitable for the preparation of cosmetic detergent products for personal care. Keratin, the protein of wool, has an high affinity to the hair and therefore the product WOOL PEPTIDE has an excellent protective and restructuring power. WOOL PEPTIDE can riduce the irritation potential of tradional primary anionic surfactants.
WOOL PEPTIDE can be used in detergents for delicate fabrics, becuse it protects clothes from the aggressiveness of commercial detergents, based on anionic surfactans. Anionic surfactants have a strong deproteinizing power, especially on wool: this aggression occurs by ion exchange of the surfactant, which in addition to damaging the fibre, remains partially on the tissue, favouring the felting of the wool. Using WOOL PEPTIDE as surfactant allows a protein saturation action, that prevent surfactant molecules to attack tissues during cleansing. It should be noted that this buffer action of WOOL PEPTIDE protects the tissue without reducing the cleansing and foaming action. Moreover, the composition of WOOL PEPTIDE consists of the same wool amino acids, so there will be an adhesion to the tissue that will enhance conditioning effect and protection.
